For my final Son of a Glitch project, I choose the theme "Humans in Nature." The backbone and inspiration come from my love of the mountain, especially inhabited places like the wilderness where human intervention is not present. Nowadays, it's so hard to escape human development and appreciate nature in its natural form. I felt that glitching images of nature show the coexistence humans have in nature. This also complements the concept that humans are sometimes seen as a glitch in nature. My project emphasized my skills in photoshop through the creation of many hybrid glitches. With a lot of success and satisfaction in my Audacity glitched images, I used photoshop to further develop and glitch the already glitched image. With moving images becoming more and more prevalent, I created many GIFs as well as a Datamosh glitched video. I plan to continue my passion for glitch art in the future by expanding my glitch potential and creating the most glitched-out art I possibly can!
Project two has got me absolutely stoked on digital art!! With a deep love for photography and photoshop, I feel that this glitch project is bringing the best of all of my worlds into one space I can thrive as an artist. After learning many different techniques to glitch, I found to have tons of success in Audacity!! After glitching an image as much as I possibly could without breaking the file, I found additional success putting the Audacity glitched image into photoshop to further glitch it out! I love the look of natural glitches, but on a few images, I also found it to be visually appealing to use some artificial Photoshop glitches. The GIFs and Datamosh were a ton of fun for me as well! With the GIFs, I found it quite interesting to make a GIF that showed the progression of glitches I created in Audacity through a series of 10-15 images!! Overall I'm extremely excited and motivated to further develop my glitch art and create the most engaging Son of a Glitch presentation I possibly can!!
